The Roman sundial can be engraved with up to 140 characters over 4 lines, making it perfect as a gift for any special occasion.

A classic horizontal sundial with a traditional design.

The Roman is a traditional horizontal sundial 8'' (21cm) in diameter made of solid marine grade brass. There's plenty of space for you to express yourself, with space for 150 characters on four lines. Uswe it for favourite poetry lines or a personal dedication.

The time is clearly marked with simple hour lines and Roman numerals.  The sundial is made from heavy, high quality marine grade brass, is precision engineered to give an accurate time reading and is polished slightly to give a beautiful smooth finish.

Each dial is unique , making it a beautiful personalised gift for a special occasion or for a special person. The dials are made just for you and your exact location so give an accurate time reading for your latitude - this is based on your postcode.

This is a finely crafted handmade sundial, made by Border Sundials who have been making sundials to commission for customers throughout the UK and internationally for over 20 years.

The brass will slowly darken with age and develop a patina, adding to its beauty.
