This replica  from Revival Arts of Bath, features George Frederick Watt's interpretation of Clytie who features in the tale by Roman poet, Ovid.

In the story, a water nymph named Clytie falls in love with the sun god Apollo. After some time, Apollo deserted her and in her sadness, Clytie changed into a sunflower so that she might turn her head to follow the sun each day, as it makes its way from east to west each day.
