Mackintosh is one of Scotland's greatest  - architect, designer and artist born in Glasgow. Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s artistic approach was influential on European design movements including Art Nouveau and Secessionism.

His most famous works include the Glasgow School of Art, Willow Tea Rooms and Queen’s Cross Church.

The etch around the baseof the bust reads - "ART IS THE FLOWER. LIFE IS THE GREEN LEAF."
