Bust of Oliver Cromwell
From fen farmer, to puritan and Lord Protector. Cromwell fought for freedom against Charles I's catholic ideas, financial excess and notion of 'rule by divine right'. As one of history's most controversial figures he has been referred to as both military dictator and hero of liberty. (1599-1658)
The original of this
bust of Oliver Cromwell was sculpted by Revival Arts of Bath and each reproduction is hand made and finished in British gypsum plaster giving it a hard, smooth feel.
As with all Famous Faces there are objects around the base. For this bust we have included the chopping block, round head breastplate, drum, crown, helmet and charging horses and soldiers going to war.
The etch around the base reads "IF YOU SEEK PEACE, PREPARE FOR WAR"
