MULLED WINE



2 BOTTLES OF RED WINE
1.5 LITRES WATER
1 ORANGE STUDDED WITH 10 CLOVES
2 ORANGES, SLICED
2 LEMONS SLICED
6 TBSP SUGAR
1 CINNAMON STICK

  1. PUT ALL THE INGREDIENTS IN A LARGE SAUCE PAN AND HEAT VERY GENTLY OVER A LOW HEAT FOR 10 MINUTES UNTIL ALL THE FLAVOURS HAVE INFUSED. 

  2. DO NOT BOIL AS THIS RUINS THE FLAVOUR. 

  3. TRY VARIATIONS, ADDING A DASH OF COGNAC, BRANDY OR OTHER LIQUEURS AT THE END OF HEATING 

  4. STRAIN & SERVE HOT.
